I’m having so much fun with my brand new Sizzix Ballroom Slippers die…I can hardly stand it!
What a wonderful way to use those scrap pieces of paper (too beautiful to throw away), and make something really amazing!
These shoes are very easy to make and look so professional. My how-to video shows how to assemble the parts once you’ve die cut them out of decorative papers. All you’ll need is glue, a bone folder and a small paint brush.
The completed shoes make wonderful keepsakes for any occasion. You can personalize them with names and use them as place card holders at your next girl party. Attach one to a gift for a very special topper. They’re just so adorable…everyone you know will want one!
Embellishing your shoes is when the real fun begins! Several of the other dies in my Sizzix Favorite Things Collection make beautiful embellishments. You can also use ribbons, trims, buttons, beads, vintage earrings, feathers, stickers, crepe paper, tissue paper, gems, glitter, and any odds and ends you happen to have on hand. I like to incorporate vintage finds from flea markets and thrift shops, too. Use your imagination and design your shoes to be as elegant or as wacky as you wish!
